As part of the Digital Europe Program, the European Commission, together with the Member States, plans on setting up a network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) in order to support the private and public sector in their digital transformation and to disseminate the latest advances in cybersecurity, AI and HPC.
Only hubs that have been selected by their local authorities will be eligible to apply to the European call for EDIH. The Brussels Region (Innoviris with the support of Bruxelles Economie et Emploi and Hub.Brussels), therefore, launched on January 20 a regional call to select the Brussels candidates.
It should be noted that many uncertainties remain with respect to timing and budget, both on the European Commission side and on the national and regional side. The goal of this regional call is therefore to identify and select consortium(s) that will embark on the selection journey with the support of the Region. In that respect, this event is a first occasion for Innoviris to present the program and to start a dialogue with potential candidates and consortiums in the making.
