Innoviris – Ethics

Research, development and innovation can be drivers of progress and benefits for society and individuals, but they can also give rise to new ethical challenges that must be identified and taken into account.

This is why the ethical dimension is integrated into the evaluation processes for assessed projects as well as into its internal operations

On the one hand, projects supported by Innoviris must adhere to ethical principles, comply with the legal framework and be part of a dynamic of responsible research and innovation in order to contribute to the creation of a fairer society in which R&D&I practices aim for sustainable, ethically acceptable and beneficial outcomes. Thus, projects are assessed not only for their scientific merits and innovation potential but also through an ethical lens

Innoviris does not merely fund innovation: we support responsible innovation that is mindful of its impacts on society and individuals

Furthermore, Innoviris works on its own practices and is actively engaged in initiatives aimed at improving equity, integrity and accountability within its operations.

In order to support responsible research and innovation, Innoviris applies the same high standards internally as it does to the projects it supports, embedding its own operations within a culture of continuous questioning and improvement

This page outlines these two aspects and brings together resources to support you.
